Parking Lot Sale and Shred Day at North Clark Historical Museum in Amboy
September 25 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating until September 26, 2020
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26, the North Clark Historical Museum, 21416 N.E. 399th St., Amboy, will hold a sale in the parking lot as a fundraiser for the museum. Volunteers will be wearing masks. Proceeds will go into the museum’s general fund.
Household goods, used books, stuffed toys, Christmas cards and greeting cards are just a few of the many items that will be available. Raffle tickets will also be available for a “Stars on the Prairie”-pattern quilt. The proceeds from the raffle tickets go into the capital improvements fund for maintenance and upkeep of the 1910 building.
The United Brethren “Ladies Aid” Cookbook will also be available to purchase. This cookbook has been reprinted from the original to commemorative the 110th Anniversary of the United Brethren Church building. It has many recipes from early residents and poems and other information. Proceeds from the cookbooks go into the museum’s general fund.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Shred Truck from Waste Connections will be at the North Clark Historical Museum in Amboy to shred documents. Attendees can watch their documents being shredded. Assistance will be provided, and social distancing will be practiced.
Donations are welcome as this is a fundraiser for the museum, and to offset the cost of the shred truck. Bring old documents, junk mail, magazines, newspapers, paperback books and file folders. Do not bring three-ring binders, garbage, Styrofoam, x-rays, photos/negatives, or pens.
