Photography Display at Nuestra Mesa: “The Pivot Project,” or Surviving the Pandemic

Lara Blair Photography completed The Pivot Project, which celebrates downtown Camas business owners who have survived the pandemic. Blair captured black and white images of business owners and their teams in her Camas studio. Each business owner completed a form explaining the pivots they made to survive during a precarious time for retail and restaurants. Blair’s goal was not only to celebrate the retail and restaurant establishments still standing, but also to bring businesses together in solidarity.

The portraits and accompanying stories will be displayed in an exhibit at Nuestra Mesa restaurant in downtown Camas, 228 N.E. Fourth Ave., from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 16. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Blair at 360-980-2413 or Larablairart@gmail.com.
