The Pittock Mansion, 3229 N.W. Pittock Dr., Portland, is offering Behind the Scenes tours, where small groups of people are led by a guide through the parts of the mansion that are not accessible to most visitors. The tour includes basement passages, the boiler room, the Otis elevator machine room, third floor servants’ quarters and Henry Pittock’s private den. Tours run for 50 minutes.
Behind the Scenes tours, which are recommended for visitors ages 14 and up, will be offered on Nov. 12 and 13 at 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. The cost is $22 per person and includes general admission to the mansion. Purchase tickets online at sales.pittockmansion.org.
