The Vancouver chapter of Point Man International Ministries meets from 11:30 to 1 p.m. every Friday in the board room at Friends of the Carpenter, 1600 W. 20th St. in the Fruit Valley area of Vancouver, just west of Fourth Plain. Pointman International was started by a Seattle police officer and veteran and the faith-based, non-denominational support group is open to all veterans and first responders, especially those struggling with PTSD. Visitors will enjoy coffee and snacks, books and materials, prayer and referrals to other local support groups. The group is exploring Lee Strobel’s book, “The Case for a Creator” and aspects of PTSD (though the group is not a PTSD clinic). The group also welcomes personal testimonies and discussions of various issues and problems faced by veterans and first responders. For more information, contact Ron Brandon at 360-721-4310.
