Pomeroy Farm: Homeschool Open House

Pomeroy Farm, 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt, will offer Homeschool Open Houses from 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 8 and 24 so that homeschooled children can experience “Children’s Work and Play on a Pre-electric Farm,” a self-guided, hour-and-a-half program suited for second through fifth graders. Students will participate in the chores and play activities of primary-age school children on a pre-electric farm, including domestic activities and barnyard chores including feeding of farm animals. Students will make a historical craft to take home. The cost is $7 per student. Groups of 20 or more students should call Pomeroy Farm at 360-686-3537; smaller groups may drop in without registration during open house hours.
