Portland Japanese Garden presents its final art exhibition of 2022, “The Garden of Resonance,” featuring the work of internationally acclaimed artist Jun Kaneko. Kaneko, winner of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Sculpture Center, has made major contributions to the field of sculptural art on a global scale, exploring the relationships between art, nature, and people with their bold scale and placement.
On Oct. 1, Kaneko’s famously large and evocative outdoor ceramic statues will be installed across Portland Japanese Garden. This will be in addition to more intimate pieces from the nearly 60 years of Kaneko’s career, including sketches and drawings. The exhibit runs through Feb. 20. Guests are welcome to view the exhibit, which is included with garden admission. The garden is open ever day except Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adult admission is $19.95, seniors are $16.95, students are $15.95 and youth ages 6 to 17 are $13.95. Children ages 5 and under are free.
