At their council time meeting on April 27, councilors agreed to schedule the hearing on the resolution that would authorize a sales and use tax of one-tenth of 1% to fund law and justice expenses, including but not limited to body worn cameras, staffing for the Sheriff’s Office, and other expenses.
If approved by voters, the county would receive 60% of the tax collected and the incorporated cities would receive 40%.
