Q&A with Nomadland author Jessica Bruder

Jessica Bruder, a journalism professor at Columbia University and a former staff writer at The Oregonian, will discuss “Nomadland: Surviving America in the 21st Century,” the basis for the Oscar-nominated film, with Allan Brettman, also a former staff writer at The Oregonian. Brettman also served as business editor at The Columbian. An audience Q&A will follow their discussion. The event, 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, is free, and participants are encouraged to donate to the Dee Anne Finken Internship at The Columbian, which annually hosts a Clark College journalism student for a paid, 10-week internship. When you make a donation to the Dee Anne Finken Internship fund by April 30, a donor will double your gift.
