Repair Clark County at the Battle Ground Community Center
May 4 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmfree
Repair Clark County will bring its free fix-it program to the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground, from 4 to 6 p.m. May 4. Experienced fixers will attempt to repair items or teach attendees how to fix them. There are no guarantees an item can be fixed or that attempting to fix it won’t break it more but fixers will diagnose problems and offer advice. Acceptable items include appliances like toasters, mixers or lamps; electronics like radios, CD players, DVD players or vintage radios; tools for sharpening like knives, scissors, pruners (no saw blades or hedge trimmers, please); sewing projects in need of mending, hemming or zippers; bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs and other mobility devices; and other small items like jewelry or home decor. Attendees may bring multiple items but must re-enter the line for each item. Some replacement parts may be available, such as cords, fuses or sockets, but attendees should bring any parts specific to the item being fixed. Only bring items small enough to be easily carried by one person and do not bring items that are leaking, dangerous, dirty or have a strong odor. Registration is not required but is helpful; see repairclarkcounty.org. See the complete schedule of events at columbiasprings.org/repair-clark-county/.
