Ridgefield Green and Clean

Rigdefield Green and Clean is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 in Overlook Park in downtown Ridgefield at 113-131 S. Main Ave. The schedule of activities is as follows:

• 9 to 11 a.m.: Free Shredding Service. Shred NW will be park at the Ridgefield Administrative Civic Center, 510 Pioneer St.
• 10 a.m. to noon: Watershed Alliance waterfront clean-up. Volunteers will pick up litter along the shoreline, streets, grassy and walking areas.
• 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.: Clark County Green Neighbors “Organics 101: Curbside Composting” at the Ridgefield Community Library community room, 210 N. Main Ave. Within Ridgefield city limits, food scraps are accepted in the green organics cart. Learn what is and is not accepted in the organics cart and why and where the material goes after it’s picked up.
• 1 to 2 p.m.: Community Garden Weeding. Volunteers will pull weeds and get the garden ready for growing season at the Blue Heron Community Garden. 224 S. 5th Ave. Tools provided, or bring your own if preferred.
