Ridgefield Youth Arts Month and Color Run

Marsh 2 is the beginning of Youth Arts Month in Ridgefield. The First Saturday celebration features the annual Color Run. Festivities begin in Overlook Park, 113-131 S. Main Ave., Ridgefield, at 9 a.m. March 2 with a performance by Dance Fusion Northwest, followed by live music until 11:30 a.m. Concessions will be available to buy. The two-mile run/walk starts at 10 a.m. Participants will be sprayed with colored powder at various stations along the course. Register for $25 at ridgefieldwa.us/360/March-First-Saturday. To get the day off to an earlier start, join a birding walk with Ron Escano at 8 a.m. through the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. The walk is free but the $3 entry fee applies.
