Science on Tap: Dementia Research

The next Science on Tap is 7 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Kiggins Theatre in downtown Vancouver, with a presentation on dementia by author and OHSU professor of neuroscience, Larry Sherman. Tickets are $15 to $45 at kigginstheatre.com/movie/science-on-tap—dementia-research. Forty-seven million people worldwide are affected by dementias. These diseases, including Alzheimer’s Disease, have devastating impacts on affected individuals, families and friends. Sherman will offer new insights into how dementias begin and ways to slow or even stop them.
