Searching for my Great-Grandfather Herbert Campbell

The Clark County Genealogical Society welcomes Will Campbell, award-winning journalist, associate editor and fourth-generation co-owner of The Columbian newspaper, with a presentation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 22 at 3205 N.E. 52nd St., Vancouver. Campbell has a journalism degree from the University of Oregon and worked as a crime reporter in Spokane. He joined The Columbian in 2019 and reported on business, led newsroom events and launched Community Funded Journalism, a donation program that added four additional reporters to The Columbian’s newsroom. The program won first place in the Local Media Association’s Digital Innovation Award in 2023 for Best Philanthropy Journalism. His goal is to find a business-model equilibrium in a changing news industry.
