September Beach Clean Up Series
September 24 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
An event every week that begins at 8:00am on Thursday, repeating until September 24, 2020
Join the City of Vancouver Volunteer Programs and the Water Resources Education Center for a physically distanced September Beach Clean Up Series to clean up two of Vancouver’s most visited beaches.
Our beaches are places we retreat to in these warm days of late summer to swim, fish and play. Additionally, rare and valuable wetland habitat bordering local beaches provides food and shelter for wildlife. Accumulating trash along the shores can have negative impacts on water quality, create hazards for wildlife and people, and have long term effects on ocean health if the trash finds its way into the river. Help us keep our City beaches clean and safe for all with this series of family-friendly beach clean-ups in September.
Throughout the month of September, we will be alternating between two clean up locations: Marine Park and Wintler Park.
Marine Park: 4501 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver
Wintler Park: 6400 Beach Drive, Vancouver
