The Southwest Washington Watercolor Society presents its Fall Exhibition from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 and 17 at The Marshall House, 1301 Officers Row, Vancouver, at the Fort Vancouver National Site. The exhibit is open to the public.
Nine awards will be given, including one for the best heritage painting and for people’s choice. Free artists’ demonstrations will be offered on the front porch both days. Ninety watercolor and water-media artworks will be displayed for sale from the society’s juried members. Juror Maria Gonser, co-owner of the Attic Gallery, will select paintings for awards. Awards chair Leah Murphy will present prizes at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 on the front porch or in the parlor if it rains. For more details, visit www.swwswatercolor.org.
