Spring Workshops at Pomeroy Farm

Pomeroy Farm is hosting three hands-on workshops this spring on the farm grounds at 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt. Classes include blacksmithing, making braided rag rugs and needle felting. Register for all workshops at pomeroyfarm.org/workshops-classes/.
- Blacksmithing Basics: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 2. Fire up the forge and learn the basics of blacksmithing in Pomeroy Farm’s century old shop. The four-hour class is suitable for students age 13 and up and includes a 30-minute BYOB lunch break. The cost is $125.
- Braided Rag Rug Making: 10 a.m. to noon March 9. Learn the skill of quality, sustainable art you can walk all over. Class includes all materials and tools to make one chair cushion. The cost is $40.
- Needle Felting Art: 10 a.m. to noon March 16. Learn about the fiber and textile process from the animal to artistic creation. Students will create a felted project to take home. Light refreshments will be served. The cost is $75.
