Join a Water Resources Education Center educator and bat volunteer from US Fish and Wildlife Service to search for bats around the wetlands from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 29. Learn about what makes good bat habitat and listen for their otherwise inaudible ultrasonic calls with a bat detector. The walk will begin before sunset and will end after dark without headlamps. Plan to walk 1.5 miles on paved pathways and uneven, sandy beaches. The trail cannot accommodate strollers. The walk is best for participants age 6 and older. Registration is required at cityofvancouver.us/publicworks/webform/twilight-tuesday-nature-walk-bats.
