Vancouver Art Space offers Contemporary Mixed Media class

Vancouver Art Space, located inside Vancouver Mall at 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, Suite 283, is offering a class teaching students how to create a contemporary mixed media collage. The class, which costs $75 including all supplies, is happening from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 5. Students will explore principles of composition, texture, color and meaning in this contemporary approach to fine art mixed media collage. Students will learn how to combine gold leaf, photos, beeswax, stamps, stencils and more. Students can choose from the Vancouver Art Space’s vast collection of paper materials, or they may add their own drawings or photos. Each two hour class will complete one 8×8 or 5×7 piece. Students can sign up for only one class or take the class multiple times.
