Vancouver Audubon Society Program – Managing Terns and Cormorants

The Vancouver Audubon Society presents Dr. Dan Roby, retired wildlife unit leader for the US Geological Survey and professor of wildlife ecology at Oregon State University. He will offer a presentation, “Managing Caspian Terns and Double-crested Cormorants to Help Restore Threatened Salmon and Steelhead in the Columbia River Gorge,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 7. The presentation will describe what management was implemented to reduce salmon predation and the outcomes for the terns, cormorants and their salmon prey as a result.
