Vancouver State of the City

March 27, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

After three years of virtual events, Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle and the Vancouver City Council will host a reimagined State of the City address and Council Community Forum in-person at the Firstenburg Community Center Community Room, 700 N.E 136th Ave., starting at 5:30 p.m. March 27.

The speech and forum, themed “Big Picture Questions” will discuss the future of Vancouver through the lens of the City’s upcoming Comprehensive Plan.

The event will be accompanied by the release of the City’s online annual report, which includes additional details on City budgets and accomplishments over the last year.

Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle will present a brief State of the City address, highlighting some of the transformative accomplishments of 2022 and looking ahead to what’s next for Vancouver. The mayor’s remarks will be followed by a Council Community Forum, where community members will join City Councilors and City staff to discuss the big picture questions that will shape Vancouver’s comprehensive plan, a long-term vision for the future.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the speech starting at 6 p.m. Due to space constraints at the venue, RSVPs for the event are now closed to the public. The City will make every effort to accommodate those who arrive without previously RSVPing to the event.

The State of the City address will be available for on-demand viewing on Clark/Vancouver Television (CVTV) channel 23 and HD 323, on the City’s Facebook and YouTube pages starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29.
