Vote for Henrietta Lacks Health & Bioscience High School video
An event every day that begins at 1:00am, repeating until January 24, 2020
Henrietta Lacks Health & Bioscience High School applied for the Follett Challege, a nationwide grant competition which awards 12 different schools anywhere from $5,000-$30,000 for creating an innovative program that prepares students for the 21st century. Science classes partnered with a paddle board company in Hawaii to spread the word about toxic chemicals within certain sunscreens that are damaging the coral reef and marine ecosystems. The 10 People’s Choice Awards are based on how many people vote for the school’s video, “The Sunscreen Project: Global Citizens Making an Impact Worldwide,” which becomes live from Jan. 20-24.
