West Vancouver Tree Planting

Plant trees together in West Vancouver. Hundreds of large (6-10′ tall) trees will be ready for planting in the following neighborhoods: Arnada, Carter Park, Edgewood Park, Fourth Plain, Fourth Plain Village, Fruit Valley, Hough, Hudson’s Bay, Lincoln, Northwest, Rose Village and Shumway.
Arrive by 8:45 a.m. to sign in and enjoy breakfast snacks and coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The planting starts at 9 a.m. Friends of Trees provides gloves, tools, and guidance. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots. Neighborhood volunteers will provide a potluck lunch for all volunteers after the planting is complete. All-gender restrooms are available at this event.
To register, go to the Friends of Trees online calendar (https://friendsoftrees.org/event-calendar/), click on this event, and fill out the quick registration form. Individuals and groups are welcome. Groups larger than 4-5 people will be split onto multiple planting crews.
If you have a pickup truck, it is needed to get these young trees to their planting sites a few blocks away from the central staging site. Sign up at www.friendsoftrees.org/truck.
If you have a bike, sign up at www.friendsoftrees.org/bike. Bikers with trailers and cargo bikes are especially helpful.
A signed youth waiver is required for volunteers under 18 (www.friendsoftrees.org/youthwaiver). Kids 15 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
