An event every week that begins at 1:00am on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, repeating until August 18, 2021
Whisper Running’s mission is to help school-aged runners develop a healthy passion for running, teach and use a variety of sport psych tools and ultimately become better runners. Summer Training spans June 21 through Aug. 18. Below is a list of training options (sprints, middle distance, distance) and corresponding training days you may use when deciding which days of the week your child should attend. Sprinters (soccer, track, baseball, softball, football, lacrosse, etc.) – Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday. Intermediate and Advanced Distance (and Middle Distance) Runners – Monday, Wednesday, and/or Friday. Young (ages 7-10) or Beginning Distance (and Middle Distance) Runners – Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday. The general training schedule is as follows: 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays/Tuesdays, begin at the Hudson’s Bay High School track, and train at nearby locations. 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Clark County Indoor Center; 9 to 11 a.m., Pacific Park. At 6 to 7:39 p.m. on 6/30, 7/14, 7/28, Cross-Training at Propstra Aquatic Center for middle school and high school-age runners. There is a locker/changing room. Bring a swimsuit and towel, and if you have some, a pair of water shoes (the bottom of the pool can be a bit rough on the feet). 9 to 11 a.m. Thursdays/Fridays, at Fisher Basin Park or Round Lake (alternating weeks).
