Parsons Dance, a company of nine athletic dancers, will perform classic Parsons works. The program will include six pieces choreographed by David Parsons from 1982 through 2021. “Kind of Blue” will kick off the program as a tribute to Miles Davis. Next is “Balance of Power,” a solo created for dancer Zoey Anderson and percussionist Giancarlo de Trizio. Wrapping up the first act is “The Road,” set to “Peace Train,” “Trouble” and other iconic songs by Yusuf/Cat Stevens. After intermission, the company will perform the humorous piece “The Envelope.” Next up is “Caught,” in which a strobe light is used to make the performer float around the stage. Wrapping up the night is “Shining Star,” set to the music of Earth, Wind & Fire.
