Winter Solstice Sunset Walk

The city of Vancouver will host a rain-or-shine Winter Solstice Sunset Walk from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dec. 20, starting at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver. Take a two-mile afternoon walk along the banks of the Columbia River to honor this quiet turning point and the slow return of the light. Walk will happen rain or shine. The walk includes paved pathways, unpaved wetland trails and sandy beaches. Walkers should be age 6 or older. Sign up for free at cityofvancouver.us/events/winter-solstice-sunset-walk-2/.
