CANCELED/SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19. Vancouver's homage to the dance bands of a bygone era, the Ne Plus Ultra Jass Orchestra, hosts monthly dances at Portland's Village Ballroom. The 11-piece ensemble painstakingly recreates the sounds of the society dance bands of the 1920s and 30s that performed on ocean liners and in grand Art Deco ballrooms.
