The Westwinds Community Band, Vancouver’s concert band, kicks off its 50th anniversary season with "Honoring Heroes, Celebrating Tradition," a free concert honoring veterans at 3 p.m. Nov. 8 at Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church, 5702 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver. This one-hour musical tribute will feature patriotic marches and traditional American music.
