“The River Starts Here” Student Video Contest
Clark County middle- and high-school students have an opportunity to showcase their video skills and win cash prizes. Stormwater Partners of Southwest Washington is partnering with Oregon’s Regional Coalition for Clean Rivers and Streams to launch “The River Starts Here Student Video Contest.” Students currently in Grades 6-12 have until May 20 to submit 25 or 55-second videos on topics related to pollution prevention, stewardship and their connection to local waterways. Vancouver’s Downtown Association flower basket program will return mid-May with 95 baskets adding color and vibrancy. Baskets will showcase community pride and resiliency as the public is welcomed back into downtown. Donations are sought to make the effort possible. The Tower Mall COVID-19 Community Testing Site is offering free testing for COVID-19 Tuesday through Saturday.
