During the seven-week class, Master Food Preservers volunteer throughout the county providing information about food preservation and food safety. Every volunteer is trained (classroom/hands-on) and certified so that they may work as a MFP team member with the Washington State University Clark County Extension office.

Mason bee workshop

Master Gardener Vione Graham will lead an introductory workshop on mason bees, covering their role in pollination, life cycle and habitats, and how we can protect them. The event will conclude with a demonstration of nest/cocoon cleaning, with participants' own nests or cocoons, if they have them. Participants should bring a medium-size bowl and a container with a lid, such as a yogurt tub. Free, and no registration required. Information: 360-397-6060, ext. 5738, or erika.d.johnson@wsu.edu
