The museum features displays and exhibits of Clark County and Pacific Northwest history, with collections and artifacts including Native American basketry, territorial and state history, the settlement of Clark County. There is a Research Library which features books, documents, maps, photographs and oral histories. The museum is home of the Brautigan Library, a collection of nearly 400 unpublished manuscripts written by everyday authors put together by author Richard Brautigan.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

First Thursdays, 5 to 9 p.m. February through November

Open First Fridays, 5 to 9 p.m.

Admission: $5; $4 for seniors and students; $3 for ages 6-18; free for ages 5 and younger

Center Stage Clothiers will host a Drama Teacher Mingler from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26, beginning at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main Street, Vancouver. The event is an opportunity for drama teachers and costumers to meet and enjoy light refreshments while getting acquainted with Center Stage Clothiers' owner Diana Kirkpatrick and store manager Rachel Chatterley.
