The magic of Ezra Jack Keats’ children’s book will come to life on the stage of the Newmark Theatre. “The Snowy Day” follows young Peter as he explores his neighborhood on a snowy day. With music by Joel Thompson and libretto by Andrea Davis Pinkney, the west coast premiere of this new opera is a celebration of imagination, nature and friendship. The Sunday matinee on March 24 is a family-friendly performance and with live audio description of the action and dialogue onstage.
