Treble Tones, the summer outreach ensemble sponsored by Reprise Choir Sings, presents “Viva la Musica!” with two local performances: 6 p.m. Aug. 14 on the patio at Burnt Bridge Cellars, 1500 Broadway, St., Vancouver; and 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1309 Franklin St., Vancouver. Treble Tones is an 11-voice ensemble comprised of members of Reprise Choir and voice students of April Duvic. Directed by Duvic, the group will be accompanied by Martin Ellis, music director at Vancouver First United Methodist Church. The program includes both classical and contemporary works in Latin, German and English. Composers include Johannes Brahms, Clara Schumann, and Lee Dengler, as well as a Gospel piece by Gerald T. Smith. “Seasons of Love” from the musical “Rent” by Jonathan Larson. The Thursday concert will feature several students from Duvic’s vocal studio performing solos and duets.
