Violinist Rachel Barton Pine performs with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

Violinist Rachel Barton Pine will perform with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 and 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at Skyview Concert Hall, 1300 N.W. 139th St. in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver. Pine will perform Mendelssohn’s renowned Violin Concerto. In the second half, Maestro Salvador Brotons will lead the symphony in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10. Tickets ($15 tp $60) are available at vancouversymphony.org. Five-concert and six-concert season subscriptions are also available, as are live streaming tickets to watch at home. Concertgoers are invited to arrive at an hour early for a pre-concert discussion of the pieces being performed. All ticket holders will receive a secure email link to access the live stream performances with a stand-by tech team to help with any issues.
