Vancouver Symphony’s Chamber Music Series presents “The Kid”

The Vancouver Symphony’s Chamber Music Series welcomes Rodney Sauer back to Vancouver for a showing of Charlie Chaplin’s classic “The Kid” (1921) at 7 p.m. April 25 at the historic Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver. Attendees will watch the film accompanied by live music as it would have been in the silent film theaters of the 1920s. The film follows the relationship between Chaplin as “the tramp” and a young orphan, John. Chaplin’s first full-length feature, “The Kid” was informed by his own London childhood and is considered one of the silent era’s greatest films.  Tickets are $25 per person at kigginstheatre.com or $10 for students at the door.
