Vancouver Audubon Society celebrates World Migratory Bird Day

The Vancouver Audubon Society celebrates World Migratory Bird Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at McConnell Park, 918 N.W. 25th Ave., Battle Ground. This international holiday was created to build awareness for migratory birds, their habitats, and flyways. This free, family-friendly event offers educational booths by local organizations, where attendees can learn about migratory bird needs such as clean water resources, insects and habitats.
