The community of Woodland is celebrating the opening of its new library at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 at 411 Lakeshore Drive, Woodland. The celebration begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by tours of the library, activities for all ages, live swing band music, face painting and refreshments. The new 7,560 square-foot Woodland Community Library provides the community with large and small rooms for meetings and study, separate areas for children, teens, and adults, public computers and spaces to use personal laptops and devices, comfortable seating indoors and outdoors, and an enhanced collection of library materials. The former Woodland Community Library at 770 Park Street closed on Sept. 23.
