Washington State University Vancouver will offer the free “Health, Place and Environment,” workshop from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 21 in the Dengerink Administration Building, Room 110. A community reception will be included. Led by physician and environmental health expert Leslie King, the workshop will explore how systemic injustices impact health and belonging and how environmental factors directly affect well-being. King currently serves as a Governor-appointed Commissioner for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. Her advocacy focuses on incorporating justice, equity, diversity and inclusion into environmental policy, particularly river restoration.
