City Nature Challenge is a community science event aimed at observing and documenting as many plants and wildlife as possible within a four-day period. Join Water Resources Education Center staff from 10 a.m. to noon April 26 for a free guided exploration of the lower portion of the Burnt Bridge Creek trailhead at Stewart Glen. Participants will learn how to use the iNaturalist app to document plants and birds. No experience is necessary but participants must download the app. Participants should be age six or older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Expect to walk two miles on paved, mostly flat pathways. Stairs descend from the street parking area to the start of the trailhead. Registration is required at cityofvancouver.us/events/city-nature-challenge-burnt-bridge-creek-exploration/. For more details, email va*****@*************er.us or call 360-487-7111.
