City Nature Challenge is a community science event aimed at observing and documenting as many plants and wildlife as possible within a four-day period. Join Water Resources Education Center staff from 2 to 4 p.m. April 26 for a free guided exploration of the wetland and river habitat around the Water Center. Participants will learn how to use the iNaturalist app to document flora and fauna. No experience is necessary but participants must download the app. Participants should be age six or older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Expect to walk two miles on paved, mostly flat pathways and potentially muddy forest paths. Registration is required at cityofvancouver.us/events/city-nature-challenge-water-center-nature-trails/. For more details, email va*****@*************er.us or call 360-487-7111.
