The Clark College Concert Band presents its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics Royal Durst Theatre, 3101 N. Main St., Vancouver. Admission to the performance free and the concert is open to the public. Donations to the Clark College Music Department are welcome at the door.
The first half will feature ensembles, such as brass choir, percussion ensemble and woodwind choir. The second half showcases the full band, opening with “Southern Winds Fanfare,” written in the spring of 2022 by Florida composer John Dupuis. The concert will also feature two relatively recent works: “Adagio for Albinoni” by Shelley Hanson and “Tight Squeeze” by Washington’s own Alex Shapiro. The concert will close with Alfred Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music.”
