The Clark College Concert Band presents its fall concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 8 at Skyview High School, 1300 N.W. 139th St. in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver. The concert is open to the public and admission is free, though donations to the Clark College Music Department are welcome. The concert opens with Christopher Green’s “Atlantic Fanfare,” followed by Frank Ticheli’s “Cajun Folk Songs 2” in two movements, then Alfred Reed’s gorgeous setting of “Greensleeves.” The first part of the program ends with Julie Giroux’s “Burning the Wickerman.” After intermission, hear concert band director Don Appert’s “Invictus II,” Samuel Barber’s “Commando March,” “The Old Boatman” by Florence Price and “Chorale and Alleluia,” by Howard Hanson.
