
The Clark College Treble Ensemble and College Chorale present their Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. March 13 at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St., Vancouver. Admission is free though donations to the Clark College Choral Fund are accepted at the door. The Treble Ensemble will start the concert with a set of choral octavos, including a piece by Music Department Chair Donald Appert, “A Red, Red Rose.” Other pieces include Renaissance polyphony, an arrangement of the Korean folk song “Arirang” and novel arrangements of children’s songs. The chorale’s theme is “love and water,” featuring music by Alec Powell, Jay Rouse and Gwyneth Walker as well as “Sweet Rivers” by Washington composer Reginald Unterseher, “MLK” by Chilcott, “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Podd, and “In Time of Silver Rain” by Dilworth. For more details about Clark College Music Department concerts, see clark.edu/campus-life/arts-events/music/music-concerts.
