Tour local farms during the 23rd Annual Harvest Celebration Farm Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17. This is a free, self-guided tour. Eight farms will be open to the public to show the bounty of local agriculture and give Clark County residents an opportunity to tour and meet their area farmers — just a small number of nearly two thousand Clark County farms providing fresh produce and meats.
Two new farms will be part of the tour this year: Good Year Farms and Flat Tack Farm. The other featured farms are Get To-Gather Farm, 78th Street Heritage Farm, Serendipity Alpaca Ranch, Gather and Feast Farm, Coyote Ridge Ranch and Gifts of the Planet Farm.
Farms will offer events such as animal viewing, self-guided tours, catered lunch (must pre-order and pay for from Gather and Feast Farm), U-pick vegetables and flowers, craft-making, veggie and salsa tasting and photo ops with alpacas. Participants will be able to meet their local farmers; purchase fresh produce and other farm products; see alpacas, chickens, Scottish Highland cows and other livestock; and tour vegetable fields and flower gardens.
This event is free and no registration required. This is a self-guided event. Choose the farms you want to visit. The map and farm descriptions and more information is available online at go.wsu.edu/smallacreage.
