Take an excursion through Clark County’s haunted history. Every Friday and Saturday night from Sept. 15 to Oct. 28, guides from the Clark County Historical Museum will lead inquiring minds on Haunted Walking Tours along downtown Vancouver’s Main Street and beyond to uncover the unexplained in this historic city. Tours on Sept. 15 and 16 begin at 6 p.m. and all remaining tours begin at 7 p.m. Participants should meet at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver.
A mix of stories, memories, research, and personal experiences, these tours are a glimpse through the darker side of history. Many tales of history and terror are drawn from the book “Darkness Next Door” by historian Pat Jollota. Tours cover approximately a mile with frequent stops along the way. Tickets are $20. Museum members are $15. Tours are best suited for ages 10 and older. Costumes are welcome. Tours will happen rain or shine. Participants should bring flashlights and dress for the weather.
