Hike on the Dike

The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is hosting its 12th annual Hike on the Dike from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 21, starting at the society’s dog shelter at 2695 Index St., Washougal. The walk starts at 9:45 a.m. Registration is $20 at p2p.onecause.com/hod2024/home. Individuals and teams will enjoy a scenic walk with their dogs along the Columbia River Dike Trail. The event also features a police K9 demonstration, a dog kissing booth, free mini orthopedic knee exams for dogs, a live DJ, a dog agility course, rock painting for the society’s animal shelters, and pet and West Columbia Gorge Humane Society merchandise for sale. Hike on the Dike will run back to back with All Paws on Deck, a street fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Camas organized by Camas High School’s DECA students.
