The Race for Warmth 5K walk/run and 10K run supports Operation Warm Heart, a Clark Public Utilities customer-funded program to help limited-income families in crisis situations who need help paying their electric bills. Since 1985, Operation Warm Heart has provided nearly $3.6 million to over 14,000 customers who are barely making ends meet, but don’t qualify for other government programs that could help them pay their winter bills. The Humane Society for Southwest Washington invites the public to “bone-up” on trivia knowledge. Come to Trivia Night Kick-off event for the 2020 Walk/Run for the Animals and put your mental prowess to the test. Walk/Run teams can compete together, and for those not on a team, meet some other dog- and cat-loving people, hang out for a great time, and even form a team at the event. Love Your Library is a Feb. 8 fundraiser to build a new library in Woodland. The evening event will feature live music, silent auction, appetizers, desserts, and complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks. It's being presented by The Friends of the Woodland Community Library, which operates under the umbrella of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation.
