The Home & Garden Idea Fair is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 27 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 28 at the Clark County Event Center, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield, featuring 200 exhibitors specializing in home and garden improvement, as well as several nurseries. The Energy Efficient Alternative Ways of Living area offers four housing experiences. Clark Public Utilities employee-volunteers at the EV Garage will answer questions about electric vehicles. On the midway, the Children’s Entrepreneur Market features business ideas by kids, plus a Farmers Market with fresh produce. PowerZone Live includes free activities, safety demonstrations, craft projects and lineworker demonstrations. Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable food for local food banks or monetary contributions to Operation Warm Heart, a program providing home heating grants to families in financial crisis, are encouraged. Parking is $6 per vehicle or catch the free shuttle bus service from the Fisher’s Landing and 99th Street transit stations.
