PeaceHealth Stepping Stones Bereavement Program

Stepping Stones, the Children’s Bereavement Program at PeaceHealth Hospice, has scheduled a volunteer facilitator training session. Stepping Stones provides support for children, teens and their families as they work through grief process. Volunteers are trained to listen and reflect with families who have experienced the death of a loved one. The next volunteer facilitator training sessions are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at Hope Bereavement Center, 5400 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver. This is role-specific volunteer training provided by the Bereavement Team. There is no fee for the training. Hospice Volunteer Training is also required. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year to the program. Lunch will be provided. Call 360-696-5069 to register or for more details.
