
Pomeroy Farm will offer a Homeschool Open House, “Children’s Work and Play on a Pre-Electric Farm,” from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 15, for homeschool, school co-op and family groups of fewer than 20 students. This program is designed for preschoolers through second graders. Kids will enjoy a tractor-pulled hayride through the farmās Pumpkin Lane with vignettes of āpumpkin peopleā with a stop at the Pumpkin Patch where students and adults can pick a pumpkin to take home. Kids can also visit chickens, goats and sheep, go through the hay bale maze and have a turn at the pumpkin flume. The grounds will remain open until 1 p.m. Admission is $8 per person; ages 2 and under are free.
