ProjectVOICE presents a free Community Share Event from 1 to 3 p.m. May 10 at Fort Vancouver High School Center for International Studies, 5700 E. 18th St., Vancouver. Students will share their ideas and discoveries about what makes a healthy, vibrant community. This is the final showcase of a student-led project that explores real-world issues through science and environmental awareness. The keynote speaker is Monique Gray Smith, author of “Braiding Sweetgrass for Young Adults,” sponsored by the Portland-Vancouver Canopy Collective. Regional partners from the Lower Columbia Nature Network will be on hand to help people connect to nature through stewardship opportunities, workshops, training and nature adventures.
